Heading South along the coastal highway with distant views of Vesuvius and of the Bay of Naples, we reach Pompeii ruins, the most fascinating archaeological site in the world. This thriving city was devastated by the eruption of Mt Vesuvius in 79 A.D. when 30 feet of volcanic ashes and pomice stones buried it. Ironically, one of the ancient world major disasters has frozen for ever Pompeii, where present time visitors experience life as it was lived in 79 A.D.. Enjoy a breathtaking look through the centuries as You step back into antiquity. Actually, in Pompeii – in the area of the amphitheatre - we have created a special itinerary for the wheelchair confined guests. See the Amphitheater, villas, shops, commercial districts, countless wall paintings decorating wealthy patrician mansions and even plaster casts of some city residents in their last moments. See the streets with pavements on both sides and the stepping stones that ensured pedestrians safe crossing at intersections.
After the Pompeii tour, by car (with Your guide) You'll reach the port of Sorrento for taking a ferry for Capri.
The Island of Capri is one of the most picturesque and visited places in Italy. Over the centuries, its unique beauties have been celebrated in ancient times by writers and poets. Its breathtaking landscapes and beauty stretch from the rocky caves around the island to the edge of the horizon, and has been an inspiration to poets, lovers and travellers throughout the centuries.
The island of Capri is composed of two municipalities: Capri and Anacapri, each with their own administration and touch of regional rivalry. The latter is built on a high plateau, affording staggering views of sheer cliffs from dizzying vantage points.
